Rotary’s Jacaranda Festival Blooms at Applecross Village - Workshop 38

Rotary’s Jacaranda Festival Blooms at Applecross Village

Jacaranda blooms gives our Applecross Village a boom

Each year, on the last Saturday in November, the dedicated people at Applecross Rotary takes over Ardross Street (aka our Applecross Village) to deliver the Jacaranda Festival!

or those who have been in previous years, you will know that our strip of Adross St, on the doorsteps of Workshop 38, is closed to welcome hundreds if not, thousands of locals and visitors to the area.

The most recent Festival was held on Saturday 23 November 2019 from 9.30am – 3.30pm.

What is Rotary’s Jacaranda Festival?

Applecross Rotary Jacaranda Festival is a family-friendly day of fun and entertainment!

It is a celebration of all things “community” – something that is at the heart of the Rotary Club’s work throughout the year.

Of course, “community” is also something that is close to our own heart here at Workshop 38.

Our founder, Fabrizo Bruno, initially started Workshop 38 to support the local community with a space to hire for meetings, workshops and seminars that’s flexible, affordable and gives you everything you need from a professional CBD office setting!

What we were treated to at the Jacaranda Festival

We feast our senses on over 150 stalls that included a gourmet food zone, unique or handmade artwork and creations, educational areas such as the Greenbatch Foundation (focussing on reducing, reusing and recycling plastic waste).

A lineup of entertainment and activities to get every young and older members of your family buzzing was also planned for the 2019 Jacaranda Festival.

Here were some of the wonderful local business offerings that really caught our interest:

  • Painting your own umbrellas with Arty Brellas
  • Checking out the wonders that exist under our waters with WOW Underwater Photography
  • Shopping for unique Christmas gifts, such as Australian fauna and flora homewares by Braw Paper and hand drawn shirts by inspirational Daniel Ink
  • And of course indulging on so many delicious food and drinks from the stalls or from one of our delicious cafes and restaurants.

How does Workshop 38 get involved with the community?

As mentioned, community is at the heart of what we do at Workshop 38!

With that in mind, we are always excited to host small businesses interested in showcasing their services and wares during the Jacaranda Festival at our space.

We’ve been proud to help local and nearby small businesses operate their retail outlet or personalised services (such as an Intimo bra fitting or a physiotherapy clinic) from our secure, modern and more private space.

If you are interested in securing space during the Festival or anytime during the year, please check out our space options and inclusions or drop us a line!
