Workshop 38 FAQs

To check availability dates, please go to our Booking Request page and click on the Availability Calendar. If there is a tentative booking for the date and times you are after, please get in touch via email or phone and we can further assist.

Yes you can. Tentative bookings will need to be confirmed within 48 hours. If the booking is not confirmed, it will be made available with our ‘first-confirmed, first-served’ policy. When you submit a booking request that is tentatively booked, we will then be in touch with the original booker to quickly confirm availability for both parties.

Our minimum workspace booking is 2 hours, with costs starting at $100.00. This includes all your furniture and media equipment, a list of amenities and post-event cleaning. To view our full pricing and inclusions, please check our Pricing Page.

Upon receiving your booking request, we will send through an invoice for payment. This will happen within a few hours of receiving your booking request.

Full payment is required by the due date on your invoice to ensure your booking is locked in. Failure to do so may result in delays in accessing the space or your booking date being taken by another client. 

On successful receipt, you will then receive your Access Code and Instructions via email and text 24-hours prior to your booking.

Yes you can, by completing an initial Booking Request form, you will be given the option to make additional bookings … or you can contact us direct with the dates and times of your preferred bookings, contact details and also information on your type of event, including how many people it is for, what equipment will you be requiring and additional information for room set up.

Our workspace is mainly available to host professional workshops, meetings and seminars. The flexibility of our space does mean we are able to accommodate other types of activities and events, as described in our Flexible Space page.

When you’re making a booking request, please provide more information on your proposed booking activity/event.

As indicated in our Fine Print, in the event that we find the purpose or structure of your booking is not in keeping with the Workshop 38 ethos, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

As indicated in our Fine Print, please note that there are no refunds once payments are made.

If unforeseen circumstances were to arise requiring you to cancel your booking, we are more than happy to look for alternative dates for you or hold the funds in credit.

Please contact us as soon as you can if you have to cancel your booking to go through the above process.

Our workspace offers all the modern equipment and setting of a Perth CBD office (view features) or workspace for hire, with the added benefits of:

  • A customised service and support from the owner/operator of the workspace;
  • Free parking (as available) in front of our space or around the Ardross Street precinct, which are all a short walk from the workspace;
  • Access to award-winning cafes and restaurants right outside the doorstep;
  • A river oasis retreat only a short stroll from our workspace for you and your clients to enjoy a relaxing break.

Yes it can. We have had meetings, workshops and seminars set up in board room, classroom, theatre, circular meeting styles to suit different requirements. Please get in touch with what your event requirements are and we can work together to suggest the best set up.

Furniture – including tables, chairs, whiteboard, kitchenette and much more – is included with every booking. Additional media equipment – such as the ceiling-mounted projector and 55″ TV screen – are also included on request.

There is a dedicated, marked, car bay directly behind Workshop 38 for the booking organiser. Participants can park on the street or there are four client parking bays available in front of our space that can be used if other tenant’s clients are not using them.

Please note that your booking includes 15 minutes set up and pack down time each. So, if you book our workspace from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, you will be able to arrive and set up at 9:45AM and leave at 12:15PM, at no extra charge.

We ask everyone to remember and respect the timeframe they booked for, so you don’t hold up the next bookings’ preparations or the workspace’s reset.

We will send you an SMS if you have run pass your booking + pack down allocated time. Provided there are no adjoining bookings, if you require more time to finish up, please call us and we will be able to assist.

Please be aware, additional charges – by the hour – will apply for extended use of the workspace.

Yes we do. A kitchenette with sink, kettle & bar fridge  along with a Nespresso machine (and 3 complimentary pods) are available for your use. We do recommend that you bring milk, teas, extra coffee pods and anything else to make your event a success.

Food and drinks are permitted inside Workshop 38, however, any post-event clean up that requires food-related cleaning (e.g. carpet cleaning due to food spills) will be charged in addition to the booking.

We do not organise the catering for our workspace bookings. However, there are many nearby cafes and restaurants who will be able to offer, and have provided catering for our workspace users. Check out a few of our favourite places you can choose from.

As indicated in our Fine Print, Workshop 38 is an unlicensed venue with strict leasing restrictions to the provision and consumption of alcohol. Alcohol is not permitted or sanctioned at any time in Workshop 38 and its surrounds.

Workshop 38 has public liability insurance. However, this insurance does not replace any necessary and required insurance that you or your business require to host and conduct your event.

We recommend that you have insurance to make sure you and your guests are covered for what you will be doing.

Workshop 38 owner, Fabrizo Bruno, is at hand at the end of a phone or an email to help you anytime before, during or after your booking event.  Please refer back to one of your Workshop 38 text messages to directly contact Fabrizo on his mobile phone.
